Melody's ear infection record:
11/13 (Sat) The fever was gone in the morning, but came back again at night with 100.4F. Thank God it just last for few hours
11/14 ~ 16 (Sun to Tue): Everything was normal.
11/17 (Wed): Melody complained she had pains on her right ear. Took her to see Dr. Rhee at 10:30 AM and found out that she got ear infection. She had low fever again at night about 100.5F.
11/18 (Thu): Melody had low fever in the afternoon again, but only last for few hours. After she got up from a nap, I found that she had swelling on her face. It's from the left side of her face go around to the area of her left ear. Called on call doctor and she thought it's not allergic reaction to antibiotic, so we should continue to let her take the medicine.
11/19 (Fri): The swelling neither got improve nor got worse. Saw the doctor again. After checking, Dr. Rhee said her ear infection actually got better, so the swelling might not be from ear infection. It could be caused by other infection. So Dr. Rhee decided to change Melody's medicine to a stronger antibiotic and it was used to treat a wide variety of bacterial infections. For safety, she also wanted Melody's to do the blood test to find out the root cause.
The blood test result was normal. Thank God that Melody finally got better after changing to the new antibiotic.
